Comprising all words purely English, and the principal and most generally used technical and scientific terms, together with their etymologies and their pronunciation, according to the best authorities. Edited by John Ogilvie and illustrated with two thousand wood engravings.

Each volume measures: 28cm (11") x 19.7cm (7 3/4"). Bound in uniform contemporary full calf with title labels to the spine with raised bands. Fully marbled page edges. Engraved frontispiece to vol 1. Illustrated with 2000 wood illustrations to the text throughout the two volumes. Pagination: [9], I-lii, 1051, [2], 1-1271pp.

These volumes are in very good used condition. The initial frontispieces have some foxing, but the interior is clean, bright and tight. Please see photographs for detailed condition.
